ADOLESCENT
Adolescents is a transition from childhood to adulthood. It can be a very trying time for the adolescents as well as the family. This is a time when destructive coping skills can develop if an individual's self-esteem is low or they are possibly being bullied at school. Adolescents have a lot of pressure to succeed in school. Psychotherapy can be a place where the teen has the opportunity to develop trust with another person who in turn allows them to understand about healthy relationships, setting boundaries and relationship skills. I have had significant experience working with children and adolescents experiencing emotional problems, addictions and eating disorders. I worked extensively with parents and families on parenting education, behavioral interventions and symptom management.
